Vidyavardhaka Law College Model United Nations Conference 2017


 In 2017, Vidyavardhaka Law College organized its first Model United Nations (MUN) conference, marking a significant milestone in its academic calendar. The conference, held under the support and guidance of JSS Law College, Autonomous, Mysore, aimed to provide a platform for students to discuss and debate the impact of Information Technology (IT) on international peace and security.

Students from Vidyavardhaka Law College, inspired by the success of MUNs in other institutions, took the initiative to organize this conference. With the guidance and support of JSS Law College, they were able to navigate the complexities of MUN procedures and successfully conduct the event.

The agenda of the conference, focusing on the impact of IT on international peace and security, attracted a diverse range of participants. Delegates engaged in lively debates, exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by IT in the context of global security.

The conference, held on 2nd March 2020, focused on the agenda of "Impact of cybercrimes on International Security and Human Rights" under the Disarmament & International Security Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.
