JSS Law college Model United Nations Club, MUN 2016.

In 2016, JSS Law College, Autonomous, Mysore, organized a Model United Nations (MUN) conference focusing on the International Labour Organization (ILO). The conference provided students with a platform to simulate diplomatic discussions and debates on issues related to labor rights and international labor standards.

The MUN aimed to deepen participants' understanding of the role and functions of the ILO in promoting social justice and decent work for all. Participants represented different countries and engaged in discussions on topics such as the protection of workers' rights, the promotion of employment opportunities, and the elimination of forced labor and child labor.

The Secretary-General and Chairpersons for the MUN were students from JSS Law College, who demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills in managing the conference. Their efforts ensured that the event was conducted effectively, allowing participants to actively participate in debates and negotiations.

The MUN provided participants with a unique opportunity to develop skills such as research, public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking. It also encouraged students to think critically about global labor issues and the role of international organizations in addressing them.
